Composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist, Kangwa Mundende, draws upon his diverse cultural background and performance experience to curate expressive and expansive sonic universes in his original works. Kangwa's music highlights the connective tissue between each individual; illuminating the commonality of the human experience. 


His piece "Glashaus" (2020), commissioned by Selmer Paris/Conn Selmer Artist and D'Addario Performing Artist Dawn Marie Lindblade-Evans, was performed at the 2021 International Clarinet Association ClarinetFest conference. The 2020 International Keyboard Collaborative Arts CollabFest BIPOC Program featured the music video for his work, “Grace." Internationally acclaimed cellist, Tess-Remy-Schumacher programmed his piece “Forgive” on her 2016 release, “Music For Peace.” Most recently, Kangwa was commissioned by Brian Lamb and the University of Central Oklahoma Wind Symphony to create an instrumental excerpt of “Exodus”  from the upcoming opera “GREENWOOD."
